Satchel (a band). This is a piece I wrote sometime in 1996 for my first website. It's quite embarassing in its sportscaster-like zeal, but I've left it unchanged except for the addition of the 2001 me's footnoted commentary.

Green Apple Quickstep (another band). On of my favorite bands ever, this is also from a something I wrote in 1996 and rediscovered in 2001. It is also quite embarassing. However, this one I updated quite a bit.

Peter Gammons: Using quotes from 'The Commish' himself, now irrefutable evidence that's he the biggest knucklehead since Ron Reagan Jr. I had planned on constantly updating it to refute his single-source, biased 'journalism' but he doesn't actually say anything often enough to warrant a continuing attention. That and I really don't care/hate him enough to devote that much energy to it.

Foreign Accents in English movies. Seriously. Why do they do this?

Inflated "Suggested" Gratuity Amounts on Receipts. Don't they know they come across as disingenuous that way?

Blockbusters by the Dozen. The modern trend of measuring a movie's success on the all time scale by gross receipts irks me.
